Toddler Tuesdays at the Mall of America

If you’ve got little ones at home, Toddler Tuesday at Mall of America is an activity worth adding to your calendar! This weekly event is designed specifically for families with preschoolers and toddlers, making it the perfect way to get out of the house, explore, and enjoy budget-friendly fun. We went this past week to play at the Paw Patrol Adventure Bay and grab some school clothes/shoes for the kiddos and it was a blast for everyone! Check out our pictures at the end.

What is Toddler Tuesday?

Every Tuesday, the Mall of America transforms into a hub of toddler-friendly activities. You’ll find special events, entertainment, and discounts geared toward families with kids age five and under. It’s a great chance to let your little ones explore in a safe environment, while parents get to enjoy some great deals, too.

What to Expect

  • Special Events & Activities – Activities may include storytimes, character meet-and-greets, arts & crafts, music, dance parties, or kid-friendly performances. Note: themed activities are only offered on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

  • Exclusive Discounts – Many restaurants and attractions inside the mall offer discounts for families with toddlers on Tuesdays. From snack deals to admission discounts at attractions like Nickelodeon Universe, Crayola Experience, Cocomelon Playdate, or SEA LIFE Aquarium, there are plenty of ways to save. One thing to note: Rainforest Cafe is a family favorite and they offer 0.99 cent kids meals all year long, but only after 5pm!

    • Special toddler wristbands are available for $15.99 + tax. These are good for five hours and allow for unlimited rides on the rides on specific toddler-friendly rides including: PAW Patrol Adventure Bay, Back at the Barnyard Hayride, Big Rigs, Blue’s Skidoo, Carousel, Diego’s Rescue Rider, Ghost Blasters, Bubble Guppies Guppy Bubbler and more.

    • Get one free child ticket (Ages 2-12) with purchase of adult ticket. Kids under age 2 are always FREE.

  • Play Opportunities – Beyond the event-specific fun, Mall of America is home to multiple play areas and attractions that toddlers love exploring. Toddler Tuesday is the perfect way to check them out. The LEGO Store is always a fun freebie, whenever you visit.

Why It’s Worth It

  • It’s budget-friendly with built-in discounts.

  • It’s a great way to burn toddler energy indoors (especially on cold or rainy days).

  • Each week is different, so there’s always something new to discover.

  • Parents get a chance to connect with other families in the area.

Tips for Visiting

  • Arrive early to snag parking and avoid crowds.

  • Bring a stroller—the mall is huge, and little legs get tired quickly.

  • Check the Mall of America website ahead of time for the current week’s Toddler Tuesday schedule and offers.

  • Pack some snacks and water, though plenty of family-friendly dining options are available inside the mall.

  • Family Restrooms can be found near the 4 main entrances on level 1 – North, South, East + West. On level 2 and 3 the family restrooms are by the North side.

  • There are three Mother’s Rooms in the mall – on Central Parkway (Level 1 North), by the Level 1 East Entrance, and in Nordstrom Level 2.

Two Memberships Worth Considering

If you plan to make Toddler Tuesday a regular outing, it may be worth investing in a membership to one (or both!) of these toddler-friendly attractions at Mall of America:

🖍️ The Crayola Experience - This colorful, hands-on attraction is a toddler favorite. With art stations, craft projects, and a climbing structure that doubles as an indoor playground, your little one can get creative while burning off energy. The best part? Memberships pay for themselves quickly, especially if you visit more than a couple times a year, and you get to leave all the mess behind!

🐠 SEA LIFE Minnesota Aquarium - For toddlers who love animals, a membership here is a no-brainer. The aquarium features tunnels where kids can see sharks, rays, and fish swimming overhead, plus touch pools for interactive fun. It’s educational, stroller-friendly, and a perfect add-on to Toddler Tuesday visits.

Final Thoughts

Toddler Tuesday at Mall of America is such a fun way to make ordinary weekdays feel special. Whether it’s your toddler’s first time meeting a character, enjoying a ride, or getting creative with crafts, it’s a memory-making experience without breaking the bank.
